List of Social Media & Online Participation Policy and Guidelines
After reading Carl Haggerty’s great “Draft1.0 for Social media & Online Participation Policy and Guidelines” post, I was inclined to google and check other blogs to see other policies and guidelines and see what I come up with.
After reading Carl Haggerty’s great “Draft1.0 for Social media & Online Participation Policy and Guidelines” post, I was inclined to google and check other blogs to see other policies and guidelines and see what I come up with. Here’s what I found:
- Intel’s Social Media Guidelines
- IBM’s Social Computing Guidelines
- Employee Policies for Social Media Participation
- Australia Public Service Commission: Circular 2008/8 – Interim protocols for online media participation
- Corporate Guidelines for Using Blogs and Forums
- The Sun Microsystems Communities: Sun’s Guidelines on Public Discourse
- Personal use of Social Networking and other third party website
- New BBC staff blog guidelines
- CIPR Social Media Guidelines
- Draft guidance for New Zealand State servants using social media
- Gartner Public Web Participation Guidelines
I think B3rn made a good point on his blog, which is to set up a collaborative space to write a general set of guidelines under a Creative Commons licence that Councils could freely adapt
